Terms of Service
Effective Date: October 26, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and utilizing SpeedPulse, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue using the service.
2. Description of Service
SpeedPulse provides an online diagnostic platform designed to estimate internet throughput (download and upload bandwidth), application-layer HTTP round-trip latency, packet stability, and client device diagnostics.
3. Measurement Methodology & Limitations
SpeedPulse performs measurements using standard web browser protocols (HTTP/HTTPS GET and POST over TCP). Users acknowledge and agree that:
- Browser Constraints: Measurements are subject to browser process sandboxing, JavaScript engine thread scheduling, CPU utilization, and browser extensions (such as ad blockers or firewalls).
- Network Variables: Results depend on Wi-Fi interference, router bufferbloat, ISP traffic shaping, distance to the test server, and intermediate routing hops.
- Informational Nature: Diagnostic figures are provided for general informational and troubleshooting purposes and do not constitute a legally binding service level agreement (SLA) guarantee.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
Users agree not to:
- Use automated scripts, bots, or distributed clients to generate excessive test requests intended to overwhelm server bandwidth or compute capacity (Denial of Service).
- Attempt to bypass API payload size constraints or rate limits.
- Interfere with or compromise the security or stability of the platform.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
SpeedPulse is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. The platform operator disclaims all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall SpeedPulse or its administrators be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use this diagnostic service.
